Whether you’re in California but beyond our Service Area or outside California entirely, finding a provider, specialists, urgent care, and more is now easier than ever.
Covered Care Outside of the Area, Within California
There may be situations in which you need access to medical care outside of the Community Care Health Service Area. When you need to locate a provider in the State of California, outside of Fresno, Kings, Madera or Tulare counties, follow the steps outlined below. Referral and prior authorization requirements of your benefit plan apply.

Enter your zip code, coverage start date, and choose Blue Shield of California PPO Network from the Plan Type drop-down menu.
Covered Care Outside California
There may be situations in which you need to access emergent or urgent medical care outside of the State of California. In those situations, please follow the steps outlined below. For comprehensive details on covered services outside California, refer to your Evidence of Coverage & Disclosure, Certificate of Insurance, or Plan Documents. If your benefits are through an employer, association, or group, consult your HR or benefits team regarding dental or vision benefits.

Click on “Choose a Location and Plan” and enter your zip code to begin your search.
Enter your zip code and select, “Yes, this is correct”
