Whether you’re in California but beyond our Service Area or outside California entirely, finding a provider, specialists, urgent care, and more is now easier than ever.
Covered Care Outside of the Area, Within California
There may be instances where accessing medical care outside the Community Care Health Service Area becomes necessary. In such cases, you remain covered through our collaboration with the Blue Shield of California PPO Network. To locate a provider within the state but outside of Fresno, Kings, or Madera counties, simply follow these steps:
Visit the Blue Shield of California Search Page
Utilize the search bar for your address, zip code, doctors’ names, specialties, and more, or use the Category Search feature.
Please note: when starting a search, you do not need to login.
Covered Care Outside California
In situations requiring medical attention outside California, you’re still covered through our partnership with the Blue Shield of California Network. For comprehensive details on covered services outside California, refer to your Evidence of Coverage & Disclosure, Certificate of Insurance, or Plan Documents. If your benefits are through an employer, association, or group, consult your HR or benefits team regarding dental or vision benefits.
To find a provider outside the state, follow these steps:
Visit the Blue Shield Network Outside of California Search Page
Select “Find care” to find a doctor or other provider in your plan’s network.
If you need Dental or Vision Care, select the appropriate links and you will be taken to a dedicated search page for those providers.
Once you’ve selected, “Find care,” Click on “Choose a location and plan”
Enter your zip code and select, “Yes, this is correct”
